|---|---|---|
| Calories | 130-150 | 120-140 |
| Protein | 18-22g | 8-10g |
| Carbs | 6-8g | 15-20g |
| Fat | 0-5g | 3-5g |

| Price (MY) | RM6-12 | RM3-5 |
Why Greek Yogurt Wins for Fitness
- Double the protein - 20g vs 10g per serving
- Less sugar - straining removes much of the lactose (milk sugar)
- More filling - thicker texture and higher protein = better satiety
- Versatile - works as a meal, snack, ingredient, or topping
When Regular Yogurt is Fine
- For children who need the extra calories
- Post-workout when you want faster carbs for recovery
- When budget is tight (half the price)
Best Options in Malaysia
Greek Yogurt
- Chobani: RM8-10 per 150g (imported, expensive)
- Farmers Union: RM6-8 per 200g (good value)
- Dutch Lady Greek Style: RM4-6 per 140g (most affordable)
Budget Hack
Buy plain regular yogurt and strain it yourself:
- Place a coffee filter or muslin cloth over a bowl
- Pour regular yogurt into the filter
- Refrigerate for 4-8 hours
- The liquid (whey) drains out, leaving thick Greek-style yogurt
This turns RM3 yogurt into RM3 Greek yogurt. The strained whey can be used in smoothies.
